Vivi on the Beach

The most recent piece (until I change the description months from now), where I experiment on my artstyle through Krita, custom brushes, and making backgrounds using Blender.

Main reference pose, based on some Japanese pinup.

Lineart. This one I used the default paintbrush, with the notable change from this pose is the expression.

The part where I started changing the brush. This one is meant to be gritty, but the lineart is so crisp that it lost the smoothness.

Second alternate brush with the bikini being drawn. The brush used a custom stamp to draw the lineart, but this rough version had some issues, like some parts around her doesn't have that even darkness.

The brush I did use for the whole thing +added sandals. The brush had a quirk where it starts small but grows after a distance, hence you can see some of the ends of the lineart are just spikes. I had to get creative on how I approach the small bits.

A colored transparent version I used as a placeholder for the background.

The early beach background. I used some free-to-use assets from elsewhere to make a simple scene. The Spongebob towel I reused the texture from the apartment model.

The same spot but at a different angle.

The current background I did use, where I changed the sand & water textures, and changed the camera angle to comply with the "Rule of Thirds" composition.
